Official Rules and Regulations
The 2012 Supplement Superstores Operation Transformation is a self-improvement competition, conducted primarily in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area and Springfield, Missouri and the surrounding vicinity, combining a body transformation along with a written statement.
Timelines and Deadlines
Transformation participants may enter each calendar month for an opportunity to win. All entries must be submitted online at www.SupplementSuperstores.com. All entries must be completed in the English language. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. Entries may be submitted at any time during the 12-month competition period. Winners will be announced on the 1st of each calendar month. To be considered for a particular month, applications must be submitted by 11:59PM on the 20th of the previous month. All applications that do not win or that are submitted after the 11:59PM on the 20th will roll over and be considered eligible to win in the following months. Winners will be announced on the first (1st) of each month.
How You Will Be Judged
The Supplement Superstores staff will select winners in the contest from all eligible and completed entries. Finalists are subject to an interview process before any prizes are awarded. Champions will win a $10,000.00 endorsement contract to become exclusive endorsers for Supplement Superstores and related products and services and enter into a one-year exclusive endorsement agreement with Supplement Superstores.
The winner must be capable of providing an honest endorsement of their own results using nutritional supplements, healthy living and exercise programs. Entries are judged by internal Supplement Superstores staff based 40% on physical transformation and 60% on articulation of that transformation through the form of an essay. The essay should include the story of your journey and how your results in your transformation has changed your life. Include any details that you think are important for us to consider as we are considering your entry for the prize. The essay should be an honest testimonial for your experience in achieving your goals. It is not a place for self-promotion for your own business or a business venture that your are participating in or affiliated with in any way, related or unrelated to the contest and your goals. Essays containing self-promotion will be disregarded.
Who’s Eligible to Enter this Challenge?
Challenge participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. The Operation Transformation is subject to applicable federal and state laws and is void in all states and countries where skill contests requiring proof of purchase are prohibited.
Employees of Supplement Superstores, any of their affiliated companies, advertising or media agencies, or consultants and contractors providing services for Supplement Superstores, along with their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
Operation Transformation is local to the regions where Supplement Superstores currently has operating locations and is open to anyone who's registration address is within a 100 mile radius of any Supplement Superstores operating location. Special exceptions will be made on a case by case basis for active military personnel who are stationed out of that radius or overseas.
Participants who were a previous month’s winner are not eligible to win a second time.
Participants are not required to use any specific products to be eligible, but may not use anabolic steroids or any strength-enhancing prescription drugs or medications unless prescribed by a physician to treat an existing medical condition (medication and medical condition must be noted in the written portion of your entry). All participants will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, and may be drug and/or polygraph tested. Submitting airbrushed or digitally enhanced photographs will lead to immediate disqualification.
Regulations and Requirements
All winners are responsible for all applicable taxes; prizes are not transferable; and there will be no substitutions for the prizes.
Supplement Superstores reserves the right to interpret these rules and, if necessary, to amend the rules at its sole discretion and without notice to individual participants. Any amendments to the rules or changes in prizes will be published online at www.SupplementSuperstores.com. Rule interpretations and all judging decisions are final. Operation Transformation participant scores are confidential and will not be disclosed.
Each participant assumes all risk of injury, harm or loss of any kind arising from participation in the Operation Transformation. Consult with your physician or health care provider before starting any new exercise, nutrition or supplementation program, particularly if you suffer from any medical condition or regularly use prescription or over-the-counter medications. If you are not experienced with strength training, or if you are changing your exercise program, consult with a qualified trainer or coach. Participants in Operation Transformation expressly release Supplement Superstores, affiliated companies, and the directors, officers and employees of any of them from all risk, loss, injury, damage or harm that may arise from participating in Operation Transformation.
Participants must notify Supplement Superstores in writing of any change of address or phone number. Champions who cannot be reached within ten (10) days at the address or phone number in their entry form will be disqualified.
Submission of your completed entry form constitutes your express consent and permission for Supplement Superstores to use your name, photographs and written responses (in whole or in part) for promotional and advertising purposes to promote Supplement Superstores, its business, and the Operation Transformation, in any media and in any manner whatsoever, as well as it’s vendors and affiliates without limitation or restriction, and such consent is deemed given by your entry and participation in Operation Transformation. Submission of your completed entry shall be deemed your acceptance of these Rules and Regulations (as may be amended) and your voluntary transfer to Supplement Superstores of all right, title, and interest, including copyright, of your photographs and written responses. All information and materials submitted become the sole and exclusive property of Supplement Superstores. Once pictures are submitted as part of the competition they become the sole property of Supplement Superstores and may not be used in another weight loss, transformation or healthy-living competition or in the endorsements or advertisements of other products or companies in any manner whatsoever.
Entry must include a both a before and after photo. No specific pose is required, but what is required is a good quality, full body, clear and recent "Before" photograph that is a true representation of you at your start date and a good, clean and recent "After" photograph, taken specifically for this contest, that is a true representation of you at your end date. Cell phone self-portraits taken in the mirror can not be accepted. You do not need to be photographed in a swimsuit, trunks or similar clothing but do make sure that your transformation is fully visible to the judges as these pictures do represent 40% of your score. These photos must be the originals and cannot be manipulated or retouched in any way. Submitting manipulated and/or retouched photos will automatically disqualify you from the competition. Copyrighted photos will not be accepted unless a signed release of use to Supplement Superstores is provided.
