A little about me:
I was born in raised in Nixa, Mo. I met my wife when we were 15 and have been together ever since! We now have a 6 year old boy and 3 year old girl. I like to spend time with them when I’m not working. I also train at a local box: CrossFit Nixa. Family, work and training – to me those are the most important things in life.

Biggest Achievement:
Probably becoming a non fat guy – haha. After having our last kid I got to about 220lbs. I decided I was tired of the way I looked. After clean eating and training really hard I dropped to about 160lbs in 8 months! Now 2 years later and since starting CrossFit I am about 190lbs and still lean! I feel way better! Also joined the 300lb squat clean club and 500lb deadlift club!

My iPod is set to:
Any and everything but mostly heavy stuff! Slipknot, Job for a Cowboy, Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, White Chapel and anything else brutal.

My favorite exercise is:
Squat and snatch. Squat is a pure overall-strength move while snatch is strength and a lot of technique! Love both of them. Also my two least favorites on the days when you’re not feeling it.

My favorite cheat meal is:
Anything sweet! Andy’s Frozen Custard though probably! Funky James Brownie is where it’s at!

Words to live by:
Be humble, be thoughtful, always be learning and be respectful! There will always be someone trying to bring you down. Ignore them and just do you. If you want something, go get it. Live your own life.

Fun fact about me:
In 8th grade I played the forward position on our soccer team. Normally, when the whistle blows you pass the ball off to the other forward to start the game. I decided to just kick the ball from the 50 yard line at the goal. Somehow by the grace of God it went in the net and I was given 50 dollars by a friend’s dad. I’d say it was a pretty solid day.

My favorite Superhero:
I’d be Wolverine in a heartbeat!

Best movie quote EVER:
“Fight and you may die. Run, and you’ll live… at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin’ to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!” – William Wallace

My fitness icon:
Since I do CrossFit I’d probably say Rich Froning. The dude has been the “Fittest Man on Earth” for 3 years running and is the absolute beast at everything he does. He has good values and I respect him for what he stands for. Seems like a good guy!

If I could drive anything it’d be:
Ford GT hands down. American muscle at its finest.

My biggest life goal:
Be healthy and live a long life. Make sure my wife and kids have everything they ever need. I want to leave Earth remembered for something great and never wonder “what if”. Also… win the CrossFit Games!

My favorite ink:
Probably my kid’s names. They’re the only ones with real meaning.
